"One Fiber Artist's Story"
I am very pleased to be the featured artist in Cindy Stephens' Artist Blog.
Check it out here.
"All Things Considered"
"Elemental Woman" is included in the exhibit and catalog, "All Things Considered: Basketry in the 21st Century," sponsored by the National Basketry Organization. The exhibit is currently at the American Art Company in Tacoma, later traveling to Peters Valley in NJ, and the Society of Arts + Crafts in Boston.
Faces: Woven Vessels 1
Sculpture: Artistry in Fiber
I am thrilled to have my work featured in Anne Lee's and E. Ashely Rooney's new book,
Sculpture: Artistry in Fiber.
I am particularly honored that my work was selected for the title page.
It was a lovely day at the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center here in Brattleboro, Vermont. It was a workshop for art educators, sharing basket skills that can continue to be shared. A special bonus was that we were surrounded by the paintings of Wolf Kahn. Special thanks to Linda Whelihan, Education Curator Extraordinaire, for helping to make this happen!
