Ghana

2006

Picture

In 2006, I had the opportunity to share the wonders of Ghana with special friends. We traveled to the Volta Region and Kumasi, to the slave castles and the canopy walk. We learned about Kente, Adinkra, fantasy coffins, and beads. We laughed and sang and shopped.

At the bottom of this page from the Cross Cultural Collaborative website, you can listen to and watch Jo Stealey's video of the Aba House kids drumming and singing, or read the words to the Farewell Song written and sung in the candlelight. It was one of the rolling blackouts in our town of Nungua that evening.
We had a wonderful time, sharing the pleasures and experiences of Ghana.
